Troubleshooting: Wiggly Lines At Corners

A wavy 'ringing' pattern in places where direction changes suddenly and at high speed. .

Solution

This is typically a result of inertia/speed combined with some play or slop in your machine's mechanics. Check out our page on Mechanical Issues for more info.

If you are using a Galvo laser, you may need to adjust your Jump Settings:

  • If you did not import the markcfg7 file from the EZCad configuration folder that came with your laser when you first set up your device profile, do so now.
  • If you already imported the configuration file, try decreasing Jump Speed and increasing Min Jump Delay and Max Jump Delay.
