Edit → Image Options
The three commands under Edit → Image Options — Refresh Image, Replace Image, and Replace Image to Fit — provide ways to refresh or replace images in your project. This is most often useful if you've edited the image in a different editing software and want to reload or replace the image currently open in LightBurn.
Refresh Image¶
After importing an image into a LightBurn project, changes to the original image file aren't automatically reflected in LightBurn. Use Refresh Image to reload the image file in its most recent version.
Replace Image¶
Replace Image opens a dialog box to select a new image. The new image replaces the originally selected image in the LightBurn project.
Replace Image to Fit¶
Replace Image to Fit replaces the image as described above, automatically scaling it to fit in the space taken up by the originally selected image.
Troubleshooting¶
If these commands are unavailable, check the following:
- Make sure you have a pixel-based image selected in LightBurn.
- Make sure the image is not Grouped with other objects.
