Moving Around the Workspace
Once you've created or imported artwork into your Workspace, you may want to make modifications, and in many cases the easiest way to do that is to adjust your focus using the Zooming and Panning tools.
Zooming¶
Use Zooming to get a close-up look at your graphics, or to pull back out and see the bigger picture.
There are a few ways to Zoom In and Out:
- Press the Zoom In or Zoom Out buttons in the Main Toolbar.
- Press the + or - keys on your keyboard.
- Use your mouse's middle scroll wheel, or two-finger dragging if you're using a trackpad.
Panning¶
Panning allows you to move the area your screen is focused over, sliding the field of view between locations in your Workspace.
Just as with Zooming, there are a few ways to Pan:
- Click the Pan icon in the Main Toolbar to enable panning, then click and drag in your Workspace.
- Press and hold your mouse's middle scroll wheel, then move the mouse.
- If you're using a track pad, hold the Space key, then click and drag.
When you've enabled Panning mode using any of the above methods, you'll see the mouse cursor change to a hand . Select another tool, or press Esc to exit Panning mode.
